I feel mom did this well. I remember earning money for little toys I wanted. I got my first jobs with the intention of saving money to go to Russia and England.
i think ruth is right, mom really got this through my scull! I AM FOR SURE GOING TO CALL MY KIDS ALLOWANCE AND CALL IT COMMISIONS and NOT allowance. because that is life. no one (except the socialist george bush and his stimulus package) is going to give you free money. we work we eat. i am going to get my teenagers a bank card (savings/checking) so they know how a bank system works).
